The MAHLE Eco Rallye begins on February 28, promoting sustainable mobility through motorsport. As the title sponsor of the MAHLE Eco Rallye de la Comunitat Valenciana, MAHLE underscores its dedication to sustainable mobility and energy efficiency. This partnership highlights the company’s commitment to a cleaner future, where innovation and sustainable technologies play a pivotal role in emission reduction and the transition to climate-neutral mobility. MAHLE SmartBike Systems, the micromobility division of MAHLE, will play an active role reviewing the race route using eBikes. Right after the end of the Eco Rallye, MAHLE Lifecycle and Mobility, the aftermarket business unit of the MAHLE Group, will conduct a diagnostic test on the high-voltage battery of the Eco Rallye Boyzz team car. The E-HEALTH Charge battery diagnostic solution provides reliable formation on the health and performance of the high-voltage battery after extensive use. These initiatives highlight MAHLE’s commitment to promoting sustainable mobility solutions and integrating advanced technologies in the sports environment.

Additionally, during the awards ceremony at the Casino de Castellón MAHLE SmartBike Systems will host an indoor mini championship with interactive cycling trainers featuring the Orbea Gain Endurance model. This e-bike is equipped with several MAHLE components, including the MAHLE X20 System with 350 Wh internal battery, eX1 external battery (171 Wh), ANT + eBike computer Pulsar ONE and eShifters.

MAHLE Lifecycle and Mobility will bring its E-HEALTH Charge system to the Eco Rallye to conduct a diagnostic test on the high-voltage battery of MAHLE’s partner team Eco Rallye Boyzz car. This diagnostic solution – consisting of the E-CHARGE 20 battery charger with an output of 20 kilowatts and a diagnostic software – combines charging and battery diagnostics into one workflow. E-HEALTH Charge provides reliable formation on the health and performance of the high-voltage battery. The team has secured the championship title in the last two editions of the Bridgestone FIA EcoRally Cup, covering over 65,000 electric kilometers annually, during their travels to races from the Artic Circle to Portugal in summer.

Aligned with its global sustainability commitment, MAHLE has implemented various initiatives to minimize its carbon footprint. Globally, the company has reduced CO₂ emissions by 43% since 2019, progressing toward its goal of carbon neutrality by 2040. Additionally, MAHLE increased the use of renewable electricity by 10% compared to the previous year, notably through solar installations at its plant in Izmir, Turkey. In Spain, MAHLE achieved an 8.4% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 CO₂ emissions during 2024, facilitated by the installation of photovoltaic systems totaling 2,428 kWp across its plants.

The MAHLE Eco Rallye de la Comunitat Valenciana has been awarded the FIA Environmental Accreditation, recognizing its adherence to environmental best practices in motorsport. This distinction highlights the importance of events that encourage the use of electric vehicles and clean technologies, aligning with MAHLE’s objectives to drive sustainable mobility.

Electric vehicles are integral to the future of transportation, offering emission-free solutions and significantly contributing to the reduction of the global carbon footprint. Through active participation in events like the MAHLE Eco Rallye, MAHLE demonstrates its commitment to promoting and developing technologies that facilitate the widespread adoption of e-vehicles, supporting the transition to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly transportation system.
