MAHLE Aftermarket positioned itself at this year's Automechanika Shanghai as a partner that offers its customers comprehensive solutions for the workshop of the future. For the first time, the MAHLE BatteryPRO diagnostics and service solutions were showcased to the Chinese market. MAHLE demonstrated its expertise in the fields of thermal management and electrification.

“In the course of the transformation to e-mobility the demands placed on workshops are changing and becoming more diverse. As a full-service provider, MAHLE Aftermarket supports independent shops in preparing for high-potential growth topics. For example, e-mobility and thermal management. We continue to develop and expand our portfolio in the fields of electrification and thermal management”, said Didem Ekiz, Director and General Manager MAHLE Aftermarket Asia Pacific.

The theme of Automechanika Shanghai was ‘Innovation4Mobility’. This perfectly matched with what MAHLE pursue with its vision: “We shape future mobility.” MAHLE Aftermarket took the show as an opportunity to bring the MAHLE 2030+ strategy closer to customers. This strategy stands on three pillars: Electrification and thermal management as well as components for highly efficient, green, and sustainably powered internal combustion engines.

“The exhibition allowed us to establish face-to-face contacts with existing and potential business partners and utilize synergy effects to get closer to market trends. We got the chance to receive valuable feedbacks from the end consumers which is very important to MAHLE,” said Ekiz.

MAHLE exhibited an 800V e-Compressor, which is one of the key components for the thermal management of BEVs. It helps to cool the compartment, but also enables safe and fast charging of the BEVs. Boasting wide applications, high refrigeration capacity and modular design, the e-compressor can meet the needs of different types of BEVs. This technology has won the "Top Ten Innovative Technology" award of the Chinese market.

The vacuum brazed electronic cooling plate from MAHLE, which was showcased at the Automechanika, can assemble electronic components and thermal contact surface materials by gluing or bolting, which reduces the cost by approximately 50% and weight by around 60% compared with conventional coolers made of bronze.

In addition, the automotive supplier’s spare parts and services division showed new products from numerous product lines – like engine oil, transmission oil, oil mist separator, cylinder head cover as well as cooling valves.

MAHLE Aftermarket uses the original equipment expertise of the technology group and is thus in a position to supply workshops and wholesalers with the right spare parts and service solutions, thus setting them up for the future. In the future, MAHLE Aftermarket continues to expand its product lines and strengthen the service with workshops in response to changes in market. MAHLE Aftermarket remains the ideal partner for its customers, even in the course of the transformation to e-mobility.
