- With this alliance, MAHLE aims to unlock new opportunities in China’s automotive aftermarket
- MAHLE Director Didem Ekiz: “This chassis project reflects our vision of providing integrated solutions to distributors and workshops across China.”
At this year’s Automechanika Shanghai, MAHLE signed a strategic cooperation agreement on a chassis project with Shanghai Jiapèi, a leading benchmark company in China’s automotive parts distribution and service sector. MAHLE will leverage Jiapèi’s strong channel advantages of 45 workshops to expand its China aftermarket activities around chassis replacement and servicing. With this powerful alliance of MAHLE’s strong product capabilities and Shanghai Jiapèi’s extensive premium channel network, MAHLE aims to unlock new opportunities in China’s automotive aftermarket. “We are committed to more than the supply of individual products. MAHLE works to provide distributors and workshops across China with a comprehensive and integrated system of solutions. The chassis project launched with Shanghai Jiapèi reflects this vision and puts this core philosophy into practice”, said Didem Ekiz, Director MAHLE Lifecycle and Mobility Asia/Pacific.
“MAHLE is a global company synonymous with high-quality products, and we are delighted to elevate our existing collaboration into a strategic partnership“, said Shanghai Jiapèi Mr. Qiu. “The new partnership between the two companies will generate strong synergies and open broader space for development.”
The rise of new energy vehicles is reshaping the aftermarket landscape, while the average vehicle age of seven to eight years in China signals the start of a peak period for chassis maintenance. As a leading global supplier of automotive components, MAHLE has an accurate understanding of these industry trends and is accelerating its strategic deployment in China’s aftermarket.
At Automechanika Shanghai, MAHLE Lifecycle and Mobility is showcasing its commitment to future mobility with a focus on solutions for new energy vehicles (NEVs). Highlights include NEV charging piles designed for reliability, an 800V e-compressor, and innovative battery cooling plates in a demo vehicle. MAHLE is emphasizing its support for workshop partners through high-quality products, training, and workshop equipment like the BatteryPRO line. Additionally, MAHLE is showcasing its "Workshop Heroes" campaign and highlighting its expertise in e-bike technologies with the X30 drive system. The Automechanika Shanghai runs until November 29th. Visitors can find MAHLE in Hall 2.
