Frankfurt, 11 September 2012 – Not only is MAHLE a popular supplier of high-quality components and systems for the spare parts sector and original equipment, MAHLE is also a provider of interesting solutions in the field of diagnostic systems for automotive manufacturers and repair shops.

The MAHLE Test Systems business section develops and distributes test, diagnostic, and data reporting systems for automotive manufacturers and repair shops alike. Today, there are already more than 9,000 dealerships and 46 automotive production plants using this software and hardware solutions in 33 different languages throughout the world. Every year more than eight million vehicles are tested by hardware and software made by MAHLE Test Systems.

Brand repair shops all across the globe rely on the service and repair shop diagnostic tools from MAHLE Test Systems. These do not require any specialist knowledge of software development and with straightforward graphical menu navigation enable the global usage of all information within a data network, an efficient development environment and operation, the integration of diagnostic data into the respective manufacturer’s product development, and the easy handling of customer data.

One example of the versatility of MAHLE tools is the global JavaTM-based ServiceLogiq® test application. It manages complex vehicle diagnostic data, provides a fast and efficient Internet connection, and the possibility to spontaneously change the interface language. This enables users of ServiceLogiq®, such as General Motors, to boot up and navigate through the system quickly, and provides maintenance mechanics in associated repair shops across the globe fast access to system resources, while keeping diagnosis times to an absolute minimum. Technicians can move around the vehicle freely without the inconvenience of trailing cables thanks to the J2534-compliant, wireless ComWorksTM communication interface using Bluetooth® technology.

In addition, MAHLE Test Systems supplies automotive manufacturers with systems for production diagnostics and reporting systems. Specialists from MAHLE Test Systems also advise customers from all across the world about the integration and optimisation of their inspection and quality assurance systems, as well as in matters relating to their IT environment.

The combination of this portfolio and the associated expert knowledge enable MAHLE Test Systems to continue developing tailor-made economical solutions for vehicle diagnostics. In future, MAHLE Test Systems will offer an increasing number of state-of-the-art diagnostic applications for the worldwide aftermarket alongside its tried-and-tested diagnostic and reporting applications for automobile manufacturers.
